How You View Objections is extremely important… Just imaging you are going to buy a house, a car or some other life changing decision. Wouldn’t you ask questions before you said “YES” and signed on the dotted line? Of course you would!
So it is important that we help our prospect do the same! If they are really going to give this a go, commit their time, talent and treasure, it is only wise for them to ask questions… Don’t you agree?
Questions are nothing more then a “Request for More Information”… Once you get that, everything will change for you! The sooner we knock these out, the sooner we can get on our way to getting them started!
Let’s Talk about 3 of the Most Common MLM Objections you may need to Overcome…
“I want to think about it…”
This one may drive you bonkers, but the next time you hear this, put on your “Detective Hat”. Because we want to find out “why”?
What do they need to think about? Is it the product, the compensation plan, if this will “work for them”, how it will fit in their life…
We want to do a little digging and probe to find out “why”? What is it that they are they wanting to “mull over”. If you can find out what it is, you may be able to get them just the info they are looking for. By talking more in detail about it or send them some additional information. As a Side Note…

The personality type of your prospect will totally play into this objection. We have the…
Driver: Type A, Overachiever. Moves fast. Core values are around time and money.
Expressive: This is your “Socialite”. Likes to have fun. Enjoys people, life of the party. They also move at a fast pace.
Amiable: These guys are the sweetest people on planet earth. They go deep with their relationships. There main focus is helping others. They are slower to make decisions, but are very loyal when they do.
Analytical: These are your intellectuals. They like to process the info. They move thru in a slow,systematic fashion and do not like to be rushed.
How does this affect How You Handle Objections?
When you answer objections and you know what personality type your prospect is, it helps you to “speak their language”. Basically to communicate in the way that will connect with your prospect on the highest level.
Remember the more connected and in touch you are with them, the better they will relate to you. You want them to think “hey, they are just like me…If they can do it… I can do it to!”
If they think that – they are IN!
“I want to talk to my spouse.”
I love this one! This is great! Clearly they really want to dive in and they just want to make sure it is cool on the home front. AWESOME! So our goal is obviously to get in front of the spouse. We do not want our prospect to have to try to present something they only saw 1 time. If you just showed the plan. Before you part ways with your prospect, you want to try and get a time set up to meet with the them and their spouse. That way when the spouse has questions— which they will… they will fire them at you and NOT at your prospect!
“I want to wait until…”
Often times when you get this it is a smoke screen. We need to get to the root of the problem. Perhaps they are tight on finances… or maybe they are concerned about the time commitment. Regardless, we need to find out why?
Surely no one on earth wants to wait on their dreams and goals?
I don’t know about you, but most of us want to get there as fast as possible.
So, let’s dig a little deeper and find out what’s the hold up. Once you get to the “real reason” you can help them move past their concern and get rolling
