Do You Feel Like You Are Chasing Your Prospects After You Give Them Samples? Have you ever placed samples with a prospect and when you are trying to follow up you discover they have entered the witness protection program? Here’s how it usually goes… You talked to a Prospect they are super excited! You give them samples to try… But then when you go to follow up they totally wig out on you… Or they fall off the grid and do not return your calls! Do you know what I am talking about?
Ever Happened to You? It is happened to so many people in network marketing! Let’s talk about the problem and more importantly, how you can avoid it! This is actually something that’s quite common if you are in a network marketing business where you have samples and product for people to try. The problem is they need to be handed out in a way so that you’re able to follow up and convert that “sample tryer” into a customer or business partner. So how do you do it? I got two solutions for you!
#1 Eliminate the False Expectations. One of the problems that people have is false expectations. They’re not clearly set up front, as to what is expected of them and what should happen after this. For example have you ever gone to a restaurant you have your favorite dish you like to order. You tell the waiter what you want. But then they when they bring out your food, it is not what you were expecting. This is a perfect example of false expectations! You know what you want but their version was something different. This happens all the time with our prospects so we need to make sure that they understand what is expected of them so everybody is on the same page. So how do you do this?
Use The “If I… Will You” Ever heard of it? “If I… Will You”. Works like this. You simply let them know “If I give you the samples…Will you promise to take them and give me your feedback”. So for them to get the samples there is a requirement they have to complete. If you give it to them, they agree to try it. If they do not agree to try it do you need to give them the samples? No! Absolutely not! You would be wasting your product. So you set the proper expectation up front. Now in doing that I would also recommend setting a follow-up time. Watch the video for how this is done…
Solution #2 Use Your Product Samples as Bait. There’s two types of people that you’ll be talking to, those people that would be excellent product users. They are going to build your customer base and they will help create some fantastic residual income. And then there are people that are fabulous business Builders. They have wonderful potential and you could see them really adding a lot to the team. What do you do with people like that? Well you can use your samples as the reason why you need to meet. This will give you an opportunity get together with them and share it 100% of the information. Don’t you think that if you shared 100% of the info on your company (AKA shows the plan) that this would give them a really good understanding of if it is a good fit for them. And then they could actually end up joining your team? Of course! Check out the video for more details…
