Are You Building Part Time? How Should You Spend Your Time?
As someone building network marketing part-time how you spend the time that you do put in to your business is quite important. Whether you’re doing this 5 hours a week, 10 hours, 15 hours or 20! How you spend your time is critical!
One thing that is extremely important is that the time is spent doing things that actually produce results in your business! They help get you closer to accomplishing your goals! It is easy to get stuck in “busy work”, but that will not get you closer to the finish line!
Here are three main areas that you can invest your time in that will really help you produce results…
#1. Personally recruiting
#2. Launching New People that Join Your Team
#3. Helping Your Team Get People to Join (driving Depth/ Tap Rooting)
Phase 1: If you’re brand new and just getting started, then you should be focusing 100% of your energy on personally recruiting. By either getting new people to that want to use your product and become your customer. Or by getting people that can also see the vision and decide to join your team. Whenever you’re building your business and you have limited time it is very important that your make sure you’re doing activities that actually help you build your business. Oftentimes people come in with the mentality that —“as long as I am doing something in my business, then the business must be growing!”… So not true!
You have to be doing the vital behaviors. You have to be doing the things that help you get results in your business. Organizing your product, getting your brochures ready, spending time doing things like that are “non-income producing”. They don’t build you, and they don’t build your team. Hence no residual check is created.
So we gotta focus on the vital behaviors which are the things that we mentioned above…
Phase 2: If you do have a group of people, then part of your time is spent launching the people in your team. One of my personal pet peeves is when I see people that are “drive by sponsors”. They spend all this time getting a recruit and then when they finally sign up they run off and leave them! The core and key element in building a network marketing team begins after they sign up! It’s all about helping them get to their dreams and goals. When you do that and you lock arms and run with that new person it helps to build the organization and that begins to multiply! If we have a Salesman mentality and we sign them up and leave. You will have to recruit one by one by one and they will fall off just as fast. So the key is launching your new people.
What does this “Launch Plan” look like?
When you have somebody new that joins your team. You will want to meet with them within 24 to 48 
hours. This is so that you can get with them. You want to…
#1. Find out their “why”
#2. Help them build their List
#3. Help them identify the “A” players on their list
#4 Get them comfortable with what to say
#5. Get them into Action!
The launch plan is essential! It is a core element that is often overlooked and missed.
Also, if you have a larger group and there’s people that are coming in and you don’t know them. I would highly suggest making a welcome call. Just call and say hello and then schedule their launch plan from there. Oftentimes the team will get growing so fast that their sponsor doesn’t know to do that. And maybe even two or three levels up also don’t know what to do. You can be the awesome rockstar leader that steps in, and takes that new person by the hand. Also if you do– be sure to also call their sponsor so that they can join your launch plan training and learn how to do it themselves.
