It’s Always a Challenge if You Get Nervous Contacting the People that You Know. It doesn’t really matter if you’re brand new just getting started or if you’ve been in the business a little while. If you don’t feel comfortable contacting, it will be something that will stump you every time!
Since it’s very important that you get good at it if you really want to do this thing big. Contacting people is going to be the foundation from which you’re going to launch your business. So let’s talk about a few things that will help you get warmed up!
Here Are Four Approaches for Rejection Free Contacting!
Approach Number One: The “Let’s Get Together” Approach. How this works is basically you reach out to somebody that is on your list that you think would be very receptive. You can call them or text them. Basically your goal is to set up an appointment. Once you have an appointment set up then you briefly drop a comment about why you want to see them. So this might look like “hey what’s your schedule look like? …I’d love to get together with you? … I could I swing on by your place tomorrow? Or do you want to do coffee later on this week?” Once they agree and you have a date. Say “awesome I look forward to seeing you! Also I got something I’m excited about and I look forward to sharing more about it with you!”
Approach Number Two: The “Right Up Your Alley” Approach. So basically you would be talking to a friend and just let them know “hey I came across something and I think it would be right up your alley. I’ love to share more about it with you… when can we get together.”
Your goals just to meet with them. You don’t need to tell then too much about it in the initial conversation.
Approach Number Three: The “Huge Blessing” Approach. This is also very similar to the previous 2 ways, it’s just more about what you’re comfortable with. “Hey I came across something and I think it would be a huge blessing for you. When we get together?” The key thing here is that you do not feel compelled to share with them all the details. You just really want to meet up with them. It’s the credibility of your relationship that is allowing you to set the appointment. Because you already are friends and you have credibility and rapport with them.
Approach Number Four: “Remember The Other Day When”… How this works is you use the things you know about them and the reason why they would want to know more. For example, if they were complaining about thier car breaking down or always being in the shop. And you know your company has a car program it would sound like this.
“Remember the other day when you’re saying you might want to get another car because your car is always in the shop. Well I think I found something that could help with that. What would be a good time we can get together and I’ll share more about it with you?” Something like that whether it is a money problem, health problem, whatever it is. You find a problem they have in their life and Link it to something that your opportunity will help them with. Those are the four approaches for rejection free contacting.
