Your Profile Picture And Header – Start off with having a Good profile picture. Make sure this is a photo of you. Not your dog, your cat or even your entire family. People want to know “who” it is they are talking to. Make it easy for them to figure it out. If you are a husband and wife team have separate profiles. We don’t want people to be confused or unsure as to “who” they are talking to when they reach out to you.
Your Profile info– Fill out your profile with all the basic info (where do you live, what do you like, where you work, where you went to school, relationships, books, movies, interests, ect) It give people a good idea of the marvelous person they are talking to!

Life Style Pictures And Video: If you go somewhere fun and exciting DEFINITELY POST IT! People always want to see things that look adventurous and exhilarating! The goal is to have people be intrigued and enticed by what you share. You want them to have a “I wish I was there” moment!
Family Events: If it’s “Social” then it’s a MUST to share! Graduations, Birthdays, Baby Shower, Wedding, 1st Day of School, ect. These are things that will get a “aweeee”so we definitely want to post them.
Success Stories: ALWAYS Share Success stories! This is a total WINNER! Product Testimonies—Before & After Pic’s Are great! Company Paid Cars, Free Trips & Incentives. This is awesome to share! It can be yours or someone else’s in your company! Either way it’s all good!
Social Media Tips for Business:
STRATEGY: The strategy is to attract and engage your audience. The more engagement you have with your audience on a post the more that face book will continue to show it to your friends and followers.
Identify Your Target Market: Who do you want to attract to you? The more clear you can get on this, the more you can craft a message and deliver content that will connect with your ideal prospect.
SHARE CONTENT THAT “ADDS VALUE”: This is the part that makes the whole Engine work! This is the part that makes you lethal! This is the part that sets the whole thing off! You must ADD VALUE! What the heck is “Adding Value”?
It is putting something that is important to your ideal prospect in front of them. You are doing tons to connect socially but this is where you get down to business! You bring some thing of Value regarding what your prospect would want.
For Example:
A Realtor may post “5 Things You Should Know Before You List Your House”
If you’re in Network Marketing: “How To Work From Home When You Just Had a Baby” Or “How to Supplement your 401k” Or “How to Get a Head on Retirement”
If your marketing a Health And Nutrition product: “The Top 5 Things To Boost Your Energy”
If you represent Skin Care: “3 Ways to Look Younger While You Sleep”
Think about the headlines you see in the magazines at the super market. Those would give you HUGE insider knowledge on what people would want to know about. Pick your target market. Find a magazine that has the same target market and start sharing that type of material. The idea is to become the “GO TO” Girl or Guy in your niche!

“The Don’ts” … The Faux Pas!
- Negative– Stay away from negative. This is the “Billboard of YOU!” make it one that attracts people not repels them!
- Controversial– this may alienate people you could have otherwise connected with. Stay away from the controversial.
- Selling– This is probably the biggest. DON’T SELL ON SOCIAL MEDIA! Don’t post your links, your sales and anything thing else that screams “buy my product” People are not coming on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Periscope, Snapchat or any other social media platform to shop. They are coming to “be social” . To see what’s going on. You want to be the resource that has more “fun facts”, articles, or videos that relate and connect with your prospect. If you do that you can dominate any niche and have prospects that actually reach out to you to learn more!
