The answer is an Emphatic YES!! In fact, sharing Stories or Testimonies is one of the PRIMARY ways we build our Business! Most people will buy on emotion. Then they back it up with logic. That means that testimonies may be THE SECRET WEAPON to help you grow and expand your business. People will relate to and become emotionally involved because of the stories you share. Then they will take the intellectual part, where you actually explain your product and company compensation plan and use it 
as info to back up the thing that they already like about what you shared.
So lets break it down… There are 2 types of testimonies: Your Own Testimony & Other Peoples (Business, product and even your best client testimonials) Lets talk about them …
How to Share Your Testimony Effectively
Now is it possible to blow a good testimony? YES! If you have ever been to a home meeting or local area event with your Network Marketing company then you may have even witnessed this first hand. Someone may have an absolutely amazing story to share; but they load their story with tons of “so whats”. They go on and on, way too long, with too much information, and they add in things that simply don’t have much to do with the point they are trying to make. Ever been there?… We ALL HAVE! LOL!
So it is very important that when you share your testimony you do it in the most powerful way possible! Listen Here for a few tips on how!

3 Simple Steps to Share Your Story…
- Prior –to getting started what were you dealing with?
- Then—share what caused the shift? (You Started on Your Product, You Started with Your Company, Your Joined an Amazing Team, ect…
- Results—Now here are the Results you have made.
Here are a few examples for a health and nutrition company…
“Prior to getting started I was really struggling with my weight. My energy was down. And my doctor was even threatening to put me on medication. Then I got introduced to _______________ (your product). I have been on the program for 5 weeks now and it helped me so much! I could not believe how easy it was to fit in to my life style. Now I have lost 24 lbs and am down 3 sizes! I feel amazing! I have the energy to do so much more, including playing with my kids! My life has changed so much, I just can’t believe it!”
“Prior to taking _______(Your Product) I used to drink 3 cups of coffee every day. I was such a grouch in the morning and had a hard time getting out of bed. Now I have been on _______(Your Product) for 3 weeks. I feel better then ever! I am alert, my mood is better and I don’t need coffee to function. I am down to 1 cup a day and I could skip the coffee and still feel great!”
What’s important is that it is SHORT & SWEET! Think of it like a “power statement”… If you have an event and you have 5-6 people that give a power testimony for 30-60 seconds each is super easy for guests to remember and even re-share with their own prospects!
How about Financial Testimonies?… It’s the same thing—Short and Sweet!
EXAMPLE: “Prior to getting started in __________(Your Company) I was living pay check to pay check. I was sick and tired of working the daily grind at my job and was hoping things would change in my life. Then I got introduced to __________(Your Company). I was excited about what the company had to offer and the great support from the Team! I got signed up and within two weeks I made my first $1,000, and qualified for the Luxury Car Program!”
What if you don’t have a Testimony and you are just getting started?
Not to worry! Borrow other peoples! Use pictures that you store in your phone. Or if your company has a magazine or “Success” Book that shows the leaders. Just pick a handful you like and start SHARING!! It does not have to be your testimony. In fact the more you have in your arsenal, the BETTER!!
