I Just Got a Sales Lesson from Tony Robbins! I had the honor and privilege of listening to a special interview that he did recently. He was chatting with a lady in her early to mid thirties. She had just sold her company for 250 million dollars. They discussed some fabulous thoughts on sales.
Getting The “Buy In” In growing and building her company she had to get a lot of people on board with a completely new concept and idea. It was something people didn’t already know about and she had to get them to think it was a good idea. She was dealing with CEOs, marketing people, and fashion designer
s. What was interesting is she knew each of those different people all had their own unique language.
What Language Do They Speak? Now we’re not talking about English, Spanish or French. LOL! We’re talking about the things that are important to them. There are things that are very important to a CEO, that a fashion designer may not care about. The also same goes for a marketing person. What is of high importance for the marketing person may not resonate with the fashion designer.
Are You Speaking Their Language? What she shared that was so incredibly true and very deeply applies to what we do is… You must speak the language of your prospect. It is not what’s important to you… it is not what’s important to other people… it is not what society says… it is only what is most important to your prospect.
