What is your philosophy? We all have thoughts and ideas about different parts of our life. How we look, how we take care of our bodies, our relationships, how we work or earn a living, how we handle our finances, our thoughts about the future.
Each and every one of us has our own blueprint or ideas in our mind about what we think these areas are supposed to be like. There’s several ways that we get those ideas. Either we choose to program our mind as to what to think about these topics. Or the world does it for us.
If you are not making a focused effort to change your mindset and thinking… If you are not choosing your own philosophy…. The world will choose it for you!
We are constantly bombarded through the media… be it TV, magazines, social media, or online. Your brain picks things up from all over! What’s crazy is that 98% of the population will end up at age 65 …either dead, broke, or still working. So, I don’t know about you, but choosing the way of the world doesn’t seem like a good idea. If those are the odds. I will count myself out of that one!
Often times I talk to people who are building their network marketing business and they tell me how hard they’re working. Working hard is great! However it does not equal your success necessarily. You can dig ditches or do construction and that’s hard
work too. You need to work smart if you want to get ahead. In the Bible it says “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” Proverbs 10:4. We want to work diligently and smart to make sure that we are pushing the envelope in life and not just going around the mountain one more time.
So if you want to change your life, you must change your philosophy! Personal development is a key to growth in any area of life. 
Think about what you might want to improve?
Do you have some dreams and goals that are still yet to be seen in your life? Of course! We all do! That’s why we’re still here! God’s got great things in store for you. It’s just up to you to go get them! Most of my adult life I have spent time studying the wealthy. People that are not only free financially but also have it going on in their relationships, in their personal well-being and are very well-rounded. One of the things that I found has been a consistent key of those that are seven and 8 figure earners is it they’re constantly committed to their own personal development. They make a conscious decision to not let the world program them. They decide to program themselves by the books they read.
Most of the high-income earners I have studied consistently read a book a week. Now that may sound ludicrous to you! You might say that’s absolutely nuts! So how can you do it? How can you fit it all in? Well I’m going to give you something that has absolutely revolutionize my life. And that is learning to audio read. If you want to get up there with those other top earners, we’ve gotta be consistently growing and learning.
There is an app you can put on your phone it’s called audible.com this has been huge for me! You can get any book known to man and listen to it while you are driving, working out, or doing anything else you might have on your check off list. What’s great is that you can you listen to this anywhere since you pretty much always have your phone with you!
But you can also adjust the speed at which your listening. So you can go through books a little bit faster than you normally would if they were playing at regular speed. You can adjust the settings to play at 1.3 or 1.5 the regular speed.
Personal development is a key to your success! Back in the day I was a hairdresser. When I met my husband he was a metal grinder. Through the art of personal development we have been able to 10X our income many times over! Personal development has been the key!
If you want to read a book that will take your mindset to a whole nother level! Check out Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki. It will help you change how you think about money and how you earn it. It will help you understand that you want to get any
business model that works without you being there. Imagine traveling the beaches of the world… it might be the dead of winter where you live right now. But you could be at the place of your choosing, your toes in the sand! Fruity drink and hand! And your business can continue to grow without you! That is what I’m talking about!
Understanding the different ways of making money. And then scaling those ways so that you don’t have to be there for business to take place.
If you are just getting started that’s okay! But there are many people that are starting to understand how important personal development is. I encourage you to set the sail of your thinking. Don’t be tossed about by the winds of life. Decide which direction you’re going to go in…
Find a topic that you know you need to improve on and learn about. And be a student of that topic. Get your audio books and go to town. You can easily go through one or two books a week if you really set your mind to it. You will be amazed at how people start responding to you when you have this different level of thinking and different perspective in your life. It will play into so many other things that you do. You will get ahead and we’ll be able to take some people with you.
