Have you ever had people quit on you? One minute they are going strong. Then next minute they are on their way out the door?
Welcome to Network Marketing! People will quit on just about anything! But I have good news! There are some things you can do that will help to keep more people in longer! The secret bullet is “Culture”! This is the name of the game! When you look at Network Marketing Companies that are 30,40, 50 + Years old, the glue that holds the company together is CULTURE! The stronger your team culture, the greater your retention! So here are a few key areas when it comes to creating culture in your team…
MLM Retention & Culture Building Tips:
MLM Retention Tip #1: Recognition is KEY! Men die for it babies cry for it! The more recognition you can dole out, the better! How can you do this? Post something on Facebook or in a private chat group. Edify your team member at a home party or weekly team event. Share the good news on a conference call. There are all sorts of ways!
MLM Retention Tip #2: Rewards are another awesome thing! This is also very closely linked with Recognition! Think of something special you can do to reward the type of behavior you want to see? Perhaps they sponsor “X” number of people… Hit a new rank… Or even win a contest!
MLM Retention Tip #3: Weekly Events. This is a foundational building block for Culture. If your team never gets together, it is hard to create a community! I recommend a weekly or bi weekly team event, and perhaps a monthly team training.
MLM Retention Tip #4: Conference Calls. The bigger your team gets, the sooner you realize that you must have a way to connect the out of town people. Just think about it. Your out of towners are TOTAL Pioneers! They have no support. No local upline. They need you to bring the team to them where at all possible! In Hebrews 10:25 it talks about “not giving up meeting together…but encouraging one another…” If we don’t hang together, it is easy for the enemies of life to pick off our out of town teammates. They need the encouragement, the training, and the feeling that that are apart of something bigger then them selves! Remember – Faith comes by hearing! So the more we can indoctrinate and include the out of town team, the better!
MLM Retention Tip #5: Personal Mentoring. Obviously this is the “Crème de la Crème” of Culture Building. When you take someone who knows nothing and you pour into them your wisdom and experience. This is the ultimate way to really create a family. When you labor side by side with someone and you have a common goal you are both fighting for, it creates a very strong bond of love and friendship!
