Have You Ever Felt like Your Team was Not Moving as Fast as You’d Like?
You are excited! You are ready to go! You are ready to make things happen! And you’re just not seeing as much activity as you would really like to see…
Like at the pace your team is moving at, it’s going to take much longer than you’d hope for? Well if that’s you, first and foremost I want to say that the anxiousness to succeed is a common trait in top producers. Now here’s what happens sometimes… You’re out there doing what you need to do. But the group of people that you were counting on are just not “in the game” as much as you were hoping for. You were counting on them doing something big! And they just don’t seem to be stepping up to the plate. Do you know what I am talking about?
What are some key indicators of this?
Have you ever heard your team say— they’re busy, they love everything, but they just have a lot going on. And right now they’re going to put this on the “back burner”.
We call this a sign…
How about they stop showing up to events, or participating in the team conference calls. These are all warning signals that should let you know not to count on them.

So what should you do? You want to Run with Your Runners, Walk with Your Walkers, and Love on the People that are just Using Your Product. Sometimes we are so anxious for our own success that we have a tendency to push people. And if you push someone that’s already feeling overwhelmed, you might just push them right out of the business. So let’s not do that. If they have a lot going on— that’s ok! Go get another one! It is much easier to add someone new who’s excited to join your team, then it is to resurrect someone who has already taken the side lines.
So if you want to be a true professional in network marketing, you must think and act the way professionals do! What do they do? They’re always expanding their list! Daily! How?
Lifestyle Prospecting. This is a great way to always be meeting you people. You could be out shopping, getting gas, running errands. Just always have your antenna up for people that look sharp. Now this may not be your natural inclination. You may not feel super comfortable with this at first. I didn’t either! So don’t worry. This is a skill. And the great thing about a skill, is it you can learn it! It is no different than driving a car, or riding a bike. Once you learn the art of Lifestyle prospecting you can do it anytime, anywhere, anyplace. And you can get some new people excited to join your team.
How about Networking Events? Networking events are awesome! BNI (Business Network International), your local area Chamber, just do a Google search for “business networking events”. You should find all sorts of things that come up. Go there and meet some people. Networking events were one of the first things that we used when we were first getting started in network marketing. In fact one of the first people that I met with ended up joining our team and that one person turned in to a team of about 2,000 people! Can you say YAHOOOOO! Of course, Results May Vary! But needless to say this is a great way to meet some new people.
Using Social Media to Prospect. There’s two different things that you can do with social media. Active Prospecting, and Passive Prospecting. What is active prospecting? That is where you search out like-minded individuals and start to connect with them. Look at their profile, look at their interest, look and see that they have a lot of other friends and connections. Then send them a private message and strike up a conversation. This is just like lifestyle prospecting, only it’s online. You look for common points of connection that you can strike a chord with someone about.
Then there’s my favorite! –Passive Prospecting on Social Media! Imagine it is the dead of winter and all of your friends are chipping the ice off of their Frozen cars. But you are down in Cancun Mexico. You have in your feet in the sand, your swimsuit on, any fruity drink in your hand. Then you happen to look down at your phone, and you see several different messages from people wanting to find out what you’re doing. Here you are playing, and people are asking you about your business! SWEEET!!!
Now that’s passive prospecting! It’s attracting prospects to use using social media! You throw out the bate. You give your target market something of value. You share on things that strike their interest. Then they contact you to learn more about it!
