How to increase your confidence in competence in building your network marketing business!
This is absolutely essential! This plays into your business more than anything else you could possibly do! Your confidence is huge!
Imagine you’re sitting at a restaurant you see someone that you know would be phenomenal in your business. What makes the difference in you going to talk to them or not? You’re confidence! It makes all the difference in the world! And that’s just business! What about your relationships? Are you single? Whether you decide to approach a new person or not… well it all depends on your confidence!
So why do people lack confidence?
Sometimes it’s because they are unsure. They’re not quite sure what is going to happen. Or they don’t know what to expect. Other times they are afraid… Afraid of what people will think, or if they will do it wrong, or if they will not like the outcome. There are all sorts of reasons. But in order to develop confidence, you must try it first …and mess up. Usually people don’t do it perfect. And that’s okay. When someone first gets started they go through a rapid learning curve– as long as it get out there and take some action.

“Learn Knowledge / Activity Knowledge Cycle”
How does this work? Day 1 when you first get started you don’t know much. You start learning about some of the basics about your company… about your product, about your Compensation plan… But you cannot stay there forever. You must go “do”. Once you start doing something you get into activity knowledge. That’s where you learn from actually doing it!
The best way to describe this is when you first learn to drive. You might take your driver’s course. You might read that big text book. You might sit through and passed the test! But once you actually get in the car and start to drive it’s a whole different story! The same is true in building our business. You need some basic knowledge but most of what you will learn is through doing. Once you do then it is very important to reflect and learn from the things that you did well, and the areas you need to change.
Have you ever heard of “Vital Behaviors”?
These are basically the drivers of your business often times people are fearful and lack confidence and so they never get into the vital behaviors. They would rather rearrange their product, or put labels on their postcards. Then get out there and actually talk to someone. However it’s talking to people and sharing what you have that brings the most growth. So the best thing is to take baby steps and get out there and get some action after you’ve done something to grow your business. Stop and reflect. Take into account Jim Rohn’s “PDCA”. Plan… Do… Check and Adjust. If you follow that and the “Learn Knowledge / Activity Knowledge Cycle” you will be well on your way to building confidence and confident in your business!
