Understanding sales is essential to All We Do. Oftentimes people in network marketing shy away from the word sales. They don’t want to sell and feel they are not a salesperson. And I can totally agree! I get it!
However, we do get paid for moving volume through our company. Which means the more people we can help come to a “Yes” decision. The better it is for us all! So lets talk about this…
What is the process to get more people to say YES?
I go through the same exact flow with every single Prospect after finishing a presentation. Whether doing a home party, a 1 to 1 meeting, or a cross country connection where they view a video. Either way the process is the same thing. So immediately after finishing a presentation, the common question most people like to ask is: “What do you think?” However, that is not the question we want to ask! LOL!
Why, it is a non-directed question. They could go anywhere after saying that! What we want to know, is what did they LIKE MOST, about what they saw.
It is one very specific question and it tells us what they liked. And while that seems very simple oftentimes people miss that part.
So now that we have asked “what did you like most about what you saw?” Now we want to get them to talk. The more they talk, the better! Our goal is to listen and to seek to pull out the areas that really excite them!
Warning!
Resist the urge to talk! We want to get them talking! That is the goal!
Often times it is easy to get nervous and uncomfortable when it’s close to the point where they should say yes. We get excited, and so we start taking over the show and talking. But we don’t want to do that? The more they talk, the more we know about why they want to get started.

First you want to ask “what did you like most, about what you saw?” Then you want to listen… If they don’t say much, you may need to help your prospects by asking more specifically: if they like the products or the business. Now if they answer with short one word answers, you might say “tell me more about that”. You want to ask questions to get them going. Then once they have shared a little bit oftentimes the next thing I’ll ask them is “What do you see in this for yourself?”… Then they usually will tell all the little nitty-gritty details about what they hope this might do for them. Maybe they want to lose a few pounds and then they can finally fit in their favorite jeans again! Or perhaps, they were thinking they may need to pick up an extra job because they really want to make some extra income. This might be just the thing they’re looking for!
So whatever the case maybe, we want to listen for the juicy details that they share. Then after they’ve talked for a little while. And you feel like they’ve talked and a lot about what they like and why they would want to do it. Then you just simply say “Well it sounds like you’re ready to get started?” Pull out your enrollment form. Share with them the next step in getting started…Make your recommendations based on what they told you they wanted.
Concerns… Now one of the things that people are often concerned with, is if you will help them. We don’t want to be like that typical sales person that signs them up and runs off! For us in Network Marketing the relationship starts when they get started! If they’re going to go to the top in this company, then you’re going to be side-by-side helping them much of the way!
The other thing is buyer’s remorse. We want to make sure they don’t go through a period where they second-guess themselves. So I always, always, always set up a time to meet with them. We call this their “Launch Plan”. This is a time where they tell me what they liked about this and what they hope to accomplish. Then we put a game plan in place so that they know exactly what to do and they feel comfortable with how to talk to people about it. This is extremely important if you want to see duplication and growth in your organization. Take these simple strategies and use them. Apply them. The next time you are doing a presentation be sure to put them into practice and you will see more People Say YES!!!
