Anytime you have a Large Group of People Drama is Almost Inevitable! So it’s important to know how to handle it. The bigger your team gets, the more you get to deal with. So here is a simple rule of thumb.
Negative Up, Positive Down. Anytime there is something that is not going well or you have something that is bothering you, go up line with it. Reach out to somebody that can help fix the situation. Whenever you have something positive like a person in your team promotes up in rank, someone earns a special bonus, someone’s getting their product for free, someone’s driving a car that the company is paying for, someone won a FREE trip, someone gets featured in a new magazine. All of that you take down to your team and out to the world.
Remember Faith Comes by Hearing! So it’s up to you to speak the good news to your organization as well as to your prospects! Now if you do have drama that comes your way…
Here are 5 Tips to Deal with the Drama…
Drama Tip #1: Don’t Let It Build Up. Often times it’s easy to let things stack up over a period of time. But don’t let it! It’s just not good for you! If it gets under your skin and bothers you, it’s just best to talk about it and get it off your chest. If there is fire in the corner of your house… when is the best time to put it out? NOW! Lol!
Drama Tip #2: Handle It At The Appropriate Time… Typically the best time to handle it is at a separate meeting or on the phone. Not when there are other people around that may hear the drama and impact them negatively. You want to avoid getting in to it when you have a group event, home party, or 1 on 1 and there are prospects or other people in the team present.
Drama Tip #3: Don’t Attempt to Deal with It When You’re Upset or Emotional. This is a big No-No. When your emotional it is easy to say something you don’t really mean. So don’t get When your emotional it is easy to say something you don’t really mean. So don’t get yourself in that situation. Wait until you are calm and collect to have that conversation.
Drama Tip #4: Go Directly To The Other Person Involved, Not to Everyone Else! Don’t be the type of person that spreads drama by talking to everyone else except the person involved. Be mature and show your leadership skills by going directly to that person to talk. It will make your life and their’s much easier! If you feel uncomfortable call your upline and for back up. They cal always help you resolve it if you do not feel comfortable solo.
Drama Tip #5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood. This is huge! This one thing will help you in every area of your life! Your business, your marriage, your kids, relationships at church—EVERYWHERE! If you do this one thing, it will help many times over!
Try to Understand the Persons Side of the Story. You may discover that they had absolutely wonderful intentions But the meaning that you gave was completely off base. Once you hear their point of view and see their side of the story, your issue may actually dissolve because you understand where they are coming from and you’ll feel much better about everything all together!
