Are You Ready to Bring on Some New People to Your Team? Maybe you work through your warm Market already… Or perhaps you’re new to the area would like to meet some more people.
How Do You Do It? I’m going to share with you how I added over 2000 people to my team thru prospecting! What am I talking about?
Networking Events! What are networking events? Wherever you live there are always a variety of events that are hosted to help other business people connect and do more business. A great place to find this is just by going on Google and looking up business networking events. A few of the common ones are your area of Chamber of Commerce, BNI (short for Business Network International), Meetup Groups, and Young Professionals chamber.
There are three different types of meetings you will usually encounter when it working. Lunch or breakfast meetings, as well as evening mixers.
Typically when you go to a lunch or breakfast meeting they are usually a bit more structured. They will usually have a time where you mix and mingle with other business owners. Basically this is your open networking time. Then often it gets into a more structured meeting.
Then there are also evening mixers. These usually go from about 5 to 8 p.m. and they’re usually pretty casual. Sometimes you might have 30 or 40 people, all the way up to a couple hundred people show up. Depending on who’s hosting and where it is at. This is another great opportunity to meet some new people.
How Should You Work a Networking Event? The first thing is you must decide who you will be! If you’re building your business part-time then you may want to go there representing your day job. Or on the other hand you might just want to be they’re representing your network marketing business. Either one will work! Just decide in advance how you want to represent yourself.
ID the Goal…
The goal of what you want to accomplish while you’re there– is to work the room. You want to kind of steak out who looks like a sharp Prospect for you. And make sure you make a point of meeting them at some point throughout the event. Your goal is to get their contact information and get them to talk. The more they talk the more they will like you! Once you get their contact info you can follow up with them with in 24-48hr and hit them up for a 1 to 1 meet up!
