Would You Like to Recruit More People to Your Business? Would you like your team to recruit more people? Well today I’m going to give it to you! Here’s some stats you might find interesting that I heard from Eric Worre at the most recent GoPro event. If you live in the United States most people that start a traditional business, you know like a brick-and-mortar business. Most people that start a brick-and-mortar business invest about $60,000. Within the first year 50% fail, within 5 years 80% fail, and within 10 years and 90% of all businesses that are started fail!
The good news is you don’t have to go through all that money and all of that failure! Because we’re in Network Marketing! Nobody ever invested $60,000 and we don’t have a 90% failure rate! So the next time somebody gives you grief… You just bust those numbers out! Now let’s talk Network Marketing! Stand tall and proud because in the United States it is a 110 Million Dollar Business! Here is how those numbers break down.
Recruiting Stats! Of 100 people that get signed up in a network marketing business,
- 70% are actually deemed as “Consumers”. They use a product but they really have no intention of building a business.
- 20% are considered “Social Enrollers” that means they will enroll one to two people casually over the lifetime in their business.
- 5% are considered “Retailers”. They’re all about the product! They may recruit 3 to 5 business partners while they are in the business but they’re mostly focused on retailing.
- 3% are considered “Recruiters” and enroll 6 to 9 personally sponsored people over the life of their business.
- And the Top 2% those are the ones we called the “Super Recruiters”. They enroll 10 or more people in the lifetime of their business.
And here is a fact that will make you scratch your head… Those “Super Recruiters” are responsible for a full 70% of everybody that ever signs up in network marketing. Can you believe that!!! OMG!!! 70%! That’s Insane! So who has decided that you need more “Super Recruiters” in your team! LOL!
And here’s another question…How can we get you into the Super Recruiter Category? I’m going to give you four tips that will help you improve your network marketing recruiting skills. So you can Bump Your Self to a Super Recruiter (if you are not there already)
4 Tips to Becoming an MLM “Super Recruiter”!
Recruiting Tip #1: You’ve Got to Talk More Business! This may seem very simple, it may seem very trivial… However common sense is not always a common practice. We have a lot of people who are in network marketing that love the product! They lead with the product!! And they just want everyone to have incredible “product experience”… And I hate to break it to you, but most 6 and 7-figure earners… Well they don’t do that. They lead with the business. They talk business. And they always have their antenna at for business minded people.
If that’s not you, and you don’t really feel comfortable with that. We need to start shifting some things so it becomes more of your identity and something you feel more comfortable with. The more comfortable you are talking business, the more you will be in a position to grow yours!
Recruiting Tip #2: Aim Higher! You have got to aim higher it’s easy to recruit “low on the totem pole”. But the higher up you get the more successful and influential the person will be. And yes… it will be a little more nerve-wracking… it will be a little more intimidating. BUT, those are the type of people we are looking for! Remember this phrase “if you want quantity, focus on quality”.
Focus on the influencers and they will bring the crowds. Focus on the influencers and they will bring the numbers to your team. When we go for the “easy recruits” we start to build more of a charity, rather than a business. We are looking for self starters… go getter… people that have the skill and ability to do it with or with out you. Those are the type of people we are aiming to recruit!
Recruiting Tip #3: Up Your Game! If you want to recruit up, you need to move more into that category yourself. Always be working on your craft. Always be improving. If you don’t feel super comfortable with recruiting right now. Study it! Study it in books, CDs, Recruiting Courses, on YouTube, on podcasts, on my blog! Become a student of recruiting. Get more familiar with it.
Work harder on yourself than you do on your job! That’s a famous Jim Rohn quote! But it’s true! We must be so valuable that people cannot ignore us! Give other successful people a reason to do business with you. By adding so much value to your self you can bring greater value to the market place.
And That All Comes Down to Personal Growth. Never be afraid to invest in your self financially. My husband & I live and breath this! We have invested well over 200k in to our own personal development. And it has paid us back many, many times over!
Recruiting Tip #4: Partner Up! Yes you got that right, the good old “Buddy System” still works today! Find somebody that can be your running mate. Find somebody that can hold you accountable to yourself ( you know –they won’t take your excuses! LOL) Find somebody that can help you through your down moments and help you through your highs. Find somebody that will you can share your numbers with and bounce ideas off of.
