Have you ever felt like your were talking to prospects but they were not signing up? It’s easy to get frustrated and wonder what’s the problem. You are talking to people but you’re not getting the result you’re looking for. Your pipeline is full but there’s nothing coming out the other end. Are you too nice? Are they not interested? What’s the deal?
I am going to unveil the BIG 4! These are Four Potential Reasons why Prospects may NOT Be Signing Up!
Reason #1: They Don’t Have Enough Information to Make a Decision. Have you ever prospected someone bumping into them at church, or maybe running into them at the store. You talked to them and give them a little information, just enough to whet their appetite. But then you wonder why nobody ends up getting started? They do not have enough information to make a decision! Think of this like a buffet you need to put your prospects in front of 100% of the information. Then they can take what they like and leave what they don’t. They will have enough information to say “Yes, sign me up! This is what I want.”
Reason #2: Not Creating a Sense of Urgency. Have you ever met with someone and you can tell it really didn’t matter when things happened?
You could do it today, you could do it next week… it didn’t matter. Let that not be us! Always create a sense of urgency! Prospects need to know you are going someplace! That you’re going to do this thing with them or without them. You would love to have them join you, but you’re going to do it either way! Giving them the sense that you were on the move! They will be inspired to get started and they won’t want to miss out!
Reason #3: Weak Posture. This is a big one! It is so very important, you have got to know “you’ve got the goods”! They are out there hustling and grinding out the rat race. You have the way out! You have the solution! You have got what they have been searching for!
Another thing to remember is…There are more of them, than there are of us. There are more people that are putting in their time. Just doing it out day in and day out hoping and praying for something better. You have it! Just be confident and bold enough to share it with them, knowing that you’re not asking for a favor. You don’t need to say you’re sorry, you’re not interrupting anything. You have the thing they have done looking for!
Reason #4: Not Closing. Closing is essential. Especially when it is done with the right heart and motive. You need to help your prospect come to the right decision for them and their family this is not about pushing them or twisting their arm. This is about helping them do what’s best for them.
