Whats Next After the List? The number one reason people quit network marketing is when they go through their list, they don’t know where to go from there. Sometimes people will have a fast start and make a lot of money quick in the beginning, but then when they get through their list of names, they don’t know what to do next. They don’t know how to make it duplicate or how to find new people to talk to. Other times people will not have much success up front and they get frustrated quickly as they move through the people who they know. Either way whether you go fast or slow there’s some skills that will help you to pass the test.
Prospecting Is One of Those Skills. It will pay you big time! The ability to know how to always add people to your list is a key difference between the amateurs and professionals. If you really plan to make a change in your life with this, there are people everywhere you can meet and add to your list! Whether it’s people that you meet out and about, “Lifestyle Prospecting” or thru attending networking events. People are EVERYWHERE! The skill comes in having the ability to connect and add them to your list. So let’s talk about it…
3 Tips for Connecting
Connecting Tip #1: Take the Philosophy of “Friends First, Business Second”. This may seem sort of odd since your goal is to build your business, but if you can learn to make a new friend. Then share the business from there, it will get you much further than if you just aim for business right off the bat. Everyone else does that… So do something to make you different!
Connecting Tip #2: Aim to Connect, Not to Impress. The world usually aims to impress. They want to impress everyone else with what they know and what they can do. But if you focus on connecting and relating to the other person, that goes much further then spending a ton of energy trying to impress them.
Connecting Tip #3: The More Relationships You Have Going at Any One Time- The Better! Sometimes people freak out because they feel like they only have 5 people to talk to and when they talk to those five what next? The more relationships you have going at any one time… the more irons you can have in the fire, the more potential people you can share your business with! Make friends and strike up connections with people you meet out and about… with people on Facebook… Even the people you do business with (Your Dry Cleaner, the Restaurant Owner, your Hairdresser or Barber, ect).
